Above tournament held in Lucknow from Nov 14 - 18 , attracted 138 players including a GM and an IM besides many rated players from UP and other states. Top 40 players won cash prizes. Three players each also got special prizes in categories in under-10, under-14 and under-19 age group. Three schools whose students got highest points won C B Gupta Inter School prizes too. Tournament was inaugurated by Mr Deepak Kumar IAS and prizes were distributed by Eldeco Sri S K Garg. Most encouraging feature of tournament was participation of a large number of boys and girls. Some of the youngesters like Atul Kumar and Adarsh Srivastava performed very well. Some girls played strongly in some games too.
