GUIDELINES FOR THE TOURNAMENT
Tournament schedule & common directives:-
Moradabad District Chess Sports Association is organizing VII - U P STATE U- 07 & U-17 BOYS & GIRLS Chess Championship-2011 on behalf of UP CHESS SPORTS ASSOCIATION from 20.06.2011 to 23.06.2011 Free lodging (dormitory type) will be provided to all the participants, One official manager and office bearers of UPCSA.. Other accompanying persons will be charged Rs. 300/- per person. All the players are requested to bring their chess clocks. Units will ensure that they are providing One chess clock between two players.

Selection : Two Players each from U-07 and One player each from U-17
Age Limit : Players born on or after 01.01.2004 For U-07 & 01.01.1994 for U- 17 are eligible to participate.
Age Proof : Certificate from the Gram Panchayat or District Hospital or Local Municipal Authority should be presented in support of declared age of the participant .Certificate must be within six months from the birth . Any other document other than these shall not be accepted as age proof. Each district unit must ensure the submission of age proof along with entry fee. ( In case any discrepancy is found the organizing secretary has all the rights to scratch the player from the tournament and refer for further action.) School’s certificate will not be accepted.
Prizes : Prizes will be awarded in following manner (in Indian rupees.) in each section
First - 1000/- Second - 700/- Third - 300/-
Fourth- 300/- Fifth - 300/- Sixth- 300/-
Entry Fee :- Regular entry fees Rs. 300/- ,per player. Special Entry Rs. 450/- per player.

Staying Arrangement:- Chitragupt Inter College, Civil Lines, Moradabad
Tournament System :
i. The tournament will be played under swiss system of league governed by latest FIDE rules for Chess. Each session will be of Two hours duration.
ii. To break the tie following order, Bucholz And M Bucolz Progressive > Cut Progressive > Toss will be followed. To decide the championship in the place of toss a maximum of three 5 minute games will be played. If still there is tie the Toss will decide the winner.
iii. Introduction of clocks will be subject to availability.
iv. Protest if any can be made within 15 minutes from the completion of the game along with a protest fee of Rs. 500/- which is refundable if the protest is upheld.
v. Age proof protest should accompany Rs.1000/- protest fee which will be nonrefundable.
IMPORTANT
i. Every participant must be present at the Prize Distribution Function and collect the certificate by himself.
ii. The tournament committee reserves the right to make any change in the schedule, venue of the tournament on short notice & accept or reject the entries
iii. Two players each from the affiliated units of UPCSA will be admitted as reglar entry. Players registered with UPCSA only are eligible to participate in the tournament. Registration fee will be Rs. 100/- for one year( 2011-.12 )

vi. Important:- All affiliates should ensure submission of affiliation / renewal fees (Rs.1000/-p.a.) for 2011-12, along with previous dues before commencement of the tournament otherwise there entries will not be entertained and players from these districts will have to pay additional Rs.100/- each as temporary affiliation fee per player for the tournament.
